TOTAKU

The TOTAKU Collection is a series of video game figurines sold internationally at GameStop, EB Games, MicroMania & GAME. In January 2019, I took on the role of their Social Media Manager to increase their online interaction, engagement and followers. The latter of which seen a huge jump from just over 1,000 to over 5,000 in 12 months.
In addition to running their Social Media, by mid 2019, I was preparing and sending their product assets internationally.
Shantae Campaign
We always got fans of TOTAKU asking for figures of their favourite video game characters – one of which was Shantae. I decided to do a tweet to see how popular she was, and gauge how many fans wanted to see her become a figurine.
The post got such a massive response, that we were able to announce her arrival to the collection in November of 2019.
Graphics & Twitter
Twitter was the main Social Media platform for engaging with our fans. It was the ideal place for us to interact with them, give them the latest updates, chat about the figures and hint about releases for the future. Here’s just a small example of some tweets I composed and graphics I created.
Asset Preperation & Website
I also created product assets for international use. This would include taking photographs of the figures and designing 2D box mockups. These files were then packaged and sent to the international teams so they could merchandise their own sites and post on Social.
The mytotaku.com website displayed all the current and upcoming TOTAKU releases. I kept this site updated so it would always have the information fans needed.
