EVENT MERCHANDISE


In 2017 & 2018, GameStop Northern Europe partnered with Comic-Con Nordic and set up a shop at each of their events in May & September. The GameStop Marketing Department decided to produce their own merchandise to be sold at Comic Con, and needed a logo and/or illustration created to be produced on tee’s, mugs & hats.

Working with another designer on concepts, I created a total of 3 illustrations, all of which were produced for each of the events over the two years.

The tagline for Comic Con was “Where Heroes Meet”, so the idea of the two ‘icons’ logos was to show the clash of characters that represented both Pop Culture & Gaming. The third illustration was a Zombie hand, bursting from the ground clutching a controller.


Response

It was a pleasure, and a bit surreal, to see my designs being purchased and worn at the events. Seeing them posted on various Instagram accounts too was great to see.
